These Terms & Agreement (“Terms”) govern registration for and participation in Internal Medicine Review 2027 (“IMR” or the “Course”), including access to the IMR website, livestream, recorded lectures, eBook, Course Manual, self-study resources and other educational materials.
By registering for IMR, purchasing an IMR registration package, accessing the Course, or accessing Course Materials, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. IMR 2027 COURSE
Internal Medicine Review is an independent educational review program intended primarily for physicians and medical trainees preparing for Canadian Internal Medicine and related examinations.
IMR 2027 is scheduled to be broadcast live online from November 20–22, 2026.
Registration may include, depending on the package purchased:
- access to the live online IMR conference;
- access to recorded course lectures;
- secure online access to the IMR lecture-slide eBook;
- self-study modules and educational resources;
- mock applied examination and physical examination preparation materials;
- access to IMR multiple-choice questions and quizzes;
- specialty FAQs and other supplemental educational content; and
- where purchased, a printed Course Manual.
The specific components and access periods included with a participant’s registration are determined by the registration package purchased.
2. ONLINE ACCESS PERIODS
Standard Access
Unless otherwise expressly stated at the time of purchase:
- recorded IMR 2027 lecture videos will be available until June 30, 2027; and
- the IMR 2027 lecture-slide eBook and other online Course Materials will be available until June 30, 2027.
Premium Access
Participants who purchase a package that includes Premium Access will receive:
- access to recorded IMR 2027 lecture videos until June 30, 2027; and
- extended access to the IMR 2027 lecture-slide eBook until June 30, 2030.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, Premium Access does not extend access to recorded lecture videos or other online resources beyond June 30, 2027.
Expiration of Access
Online access automatically expires at the end of the applicable access period.
Registration provides a time-limited licence to access online Course Materials. It does not provide permanent ownership of, or permanent access to, digital Course Materials.
Expiration of online access does not entitle a participant to download, receive or retain a PDF, video file or other permanent digital copy of materials that were made available through a secure online platform.
3. REGISTRATION FEES
Registration fees are those displayed on the IMR website at the time of purchase and vary according to the registration package selected.
Payment must be received in full to complete registration.
Registration is personal to the registered participant and may not be transferred, assigned, resold or shared with another person without the prior written authorization of IMR.
Any discount, promotional price or alumni discount is subject to the eligibility requirements specified by IMR and may not be combined with another discount unless expressly permitted.
IMR may request information reasonably necessary to verify eligibility for a discount.
4. CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS
A participant who cancels their IMR 2027 registration before November 15, 2026 is eligible for a refund of the registration fee paid, less a $100 administration fee.
Beginning November 15, 2026, Course Materials become available through the IMR online platform. Accordingly, except where otherwise required by applicable law, registrations are non-refundable as of November 15, 2026, regardless of whether the participant has accessed, viewed or used the Course Materials.
Failure to attend the live broadcast does not entitle a participant to a refund where recorded or other online Course Materials remain available in accordance with the registration package purchased.
Refunds will be issued to the original method of payment where reasonably possible.
IMR reserves the right to make exceptions to its cancellation policy in exceptional circumstances at its sole discretion. The granting of an exception in one case does not require IMR to grant an exception in another case.
Where a printed Course Manual has already been shipped before an otherwise eligible cancellation is received, IMR reserves the right to deduct the applicable cost of the printed Course Manual and shipping from the amount refunded, in addition to the $100 administration fee.
5. PRINTED COURSE MANUALS
Certain registration packages include a printed IMR Course Manual.
Printed Course Manuals are available in limited quantities and are subject to availability.
Orders placed by November 1, 2026 are intended to be shipped in sufficient time to arrive by the beginning of the live Course. IMR will make reasonable efforts to meet anticipated delivery dates but cannot guarantee delivery dates where delays result from postal, courier, customs, weather or other circumstances outside IMR’s reasonable control.
Printed Course Manuals are available for shipment to Canada and the United States. International shipping outside Canada and the United States is not available for IMR 2027.
Participants are responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address.
If a Course Manual has already been shipped before an otherwise eligible registration cancellation is received, IMR reserves the right to deduct the applicable cost of the printed Course Manual and shipping from the amount refunded, in addition to the applicable administration fee.
A participant who purchases a printed Course Manual owns that individual physical copy. Ownership of the physical copy does not transfer copyright or any other intellectual property rights in the contents of the Course Manual.
Course Manuals may not be reproduced, scanned, photocopied, digitized or distributed except as expressly permitted by law or with the prior written authorization of IMR or the applicable copyright holder.
6. COURSE CHANGES
IMR endeavours to provide the Course substantially as described at the time of registration.
Medicine, educational requirements and speaker availability may change. IMR therefore reserves the right to make reasonable changes to:
- speakers or faculty;
- lecture topics or content;
- schedules and presentation times;
- Course Materials;
- online platforms or technology;
- educational resources; and
- the format or sequence of Course components.
Reasonable changes of this nature do not, by themselves, entitle a participant to a refund.
If IMR cancels the Course in its entirety and does not provide a reasonably comparable alternative, IMR will provide affected participants with an appropriate refund of registration fees paid.
7. CONTENT, COPYRIGHT AND INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
All materials provided in connection with IMR, whether provided before, during or after the Course, are protected by copyright and other applicable intellectual property laws.
These materials include, without limitation, course notes, eBooks, PDFs, handouts, slides, presentations, printed manuals, graphics, tables, figures, questions, educational resources, written website content, videos, recordings and other downloadable or online materials (collectively, the “Course Materials”).
Unless otherwise expressly indicated, Course Materials are owned by IMR and/or are used with the permission of the applicable copyright holder.
Registration for IMR does not transfer ownership of, or any intellectual property rights in, the Course Materials.
8. LIMITED PERSONAL LICENCE
Registration grants each registered participant a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive and non-transferable licence to access and use Course Materials solely for that participant’s own personal educational and study purposes during the applicable access period.
Course Materials are provided exclusively for use by the individual registered participant.
Nothing in these Terms grants a participant the right to reproduce, publish, distribute, sublicense, commercially exploit or create a substitute repository of Course Materials.
9. PROHIBITION ON SHARING, COPYING AND DISTRIBUTION
Except where expressly authorized in writing by IMR or otherwise permitted by applicable law, participants must not share, distribute, reproduce, transmit, publish, upload, post, sell, sublicense or otherwise make Course Materials available to another person, whether in whole or in part.
Without limiting the foregoing, participants must not:
- email, message or otherwise send Course Materials to another person;
- share Course Materials with colleagues, friends, other trainees, residency programs, educational institutions or other organizations;
- upload Course Materials to shared drives, cloud-storage folders, institutional servers, learning-management systems, file-sharing services, websites, forums or social-media platforms;
- reproduce Course Materials for distribution in electronic or printed form;
- scan or systematically photograph a printed Course Manual for reproduction or distribution;
- sell, resell, sublicense or otherwise commercially distribute Course Materials;
- share login credentials or permit another person to access Course Materials through the participant’s account;
- make unauthorized recordings of Course presentations or recorded lectures;
- systematically capture screenshots, images or other reproductions for the purpose of creating or retaining a substitute copy of Course Materials or circumventing access restrictions;
- circumvent, disable, remove, interfere with or attempt to defeat a technological measure used to control or restrict access to Course Materials; or
- remove, obscure or alter a copyright notice, watermark, user identifier or other rights-management information contained in Course Materials.
The fact that a participant may be technically able to download, print, copy, photograph, capture or otherwise access Course Material does not constitute permission to reproduce, retain, distribute or share that material contrary to these Terms.
10. ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE AND AUTOMATED SYSTEMS
Except where expressly authorized in writing by IMR, participants must not upload, submit, input or otherwise provide Course Materials, in whole or in substantial part, to:
- generative artificial intelligence services;
- large language models;
- machine-learning systems;
- AI note-taking or summarization services;
- automated question-generation systems; or
- other third-party systems that store, reproduce, analyze, train on or generate content from the Course Materials.
This restriction includes using Course Materials for model training, fine-tuning, retrieval databases, automated question banks, commercial content generation or the creation of derivative educational products.
Nothing in this section is intended to prevent ordinary personal study using functionality expressly provided or authorized through the IMR platform.
11. eBOOKS, DRM AND TECHNOLOGICAL PROTECTION MEASURES
Certain Course Materials, including the IMR lecture-slide eBook, may incorporate digital rights management (“DRM”), technological protection measures, access controls, individualized or identifying watermarks, user-specific identifiers, device or account restrictions, or other technologies intended to protect Course Materials and prevent or deter unauthorized access, copying or distribution.
Participants consent to the use of such measures as a condition of accessing those materials.
Participants must not attempt to bypass, circumvent, disable, remove, modify or interfere with these measures or assist another person in doing so, except to the extent expressly permitted by applicable law.
Where supported by the applicable eBook platform, participants may use authorized personal study functions such as highlighting, bookmarking and annotation.
The availability of highlighting, annotation or similar functionality does not alter the restrictions on copying, reproduction, sharing or distribution of Course Materials.
Unless expressly provided by IMR, access to the secure eBook does not include a downloadable PDF copy.
12. ACCOUNT ACCESS AND SECURITY
Each registration and associated account or login is for the exclusive use of the registered participant.
Participants are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials and must not knowingly permit another person to use their account.
IMR may use reasonable technical and administrative measures to protect Course Materials and identify potential unauthorized account access or credential sharing. These measures may include information concerning:
- simultaneous login sessions;
- account access;
- devices used to access the Course;
- login activity; and
- IP-address usage.
Such information will be handled in accordance with applicable privacy laws and IMR’s applicable privacy practices.
The use of multiple legitimate devices, locations or networks by a participant does not, by itself, establish a breach of these Terms.
13. SUSPENSION AND TERMINATION OF ACCESS
Where IMR reasonably believes that an account or Course Materials are being accessed, copied, shared or distributed contrary to these Terms, IMR may temporarily suspend access while the matter is investigated.
IMR may require the participant to verify their identity, account ownership, authorized devices or other information reasonably necessary to investigate suspected unauthorized use.
Where IMR reasonably determines that a participant has materially breached these Terms, IMR may suspend or terminate the participant’s access to Course Materials.
A material breach may include, without limitation:
- intentional credential sharing;
- unauthorized distribution of Course Materials;
- systematic copying or reproduction;
- unauthorized resale;
- circumvention of technological protection measures; or
- other deliberate conduct intended to defeat IMR’s access or intellectual-property protections.
Except where required by applicable law, a participant whose access is terminated because of a material breach of these Terms is not entitled to a refund.
Termination of access does not authorize the participant to retain, distribute or otherwise use Course Materials contrary to these Terms.
Restrictions concerning intellectual property, copying and distribution continue to apply after Course access expires or is terminated.
14. UNAUTHORIZED USE AND ENFORCEMENT
Unauthorized copying, reproduction, distribution or circumvention of technological protection measures may constitute infringement of copyright or other intellectual property rights.
IMR and applicable copyright holders reserve all rights and remedies available under applicable law in relation to unauthorized use or distribution of Course Materials, including injunctive relief and damages where appropriate.
Nothing in these Terms limits any rights or exceptions that cannot lawfully be restricted or excluded.
15. EXAMINATION CONFIDENTIALITY
IMR develops and provides educational and examination-preparation materials for study purposes.
Participants must not submit, upload, transmit or otherwise provide to IMR any actual examination question, station, scenario or other examination content where disclosure is prohibited by the confidentiality rules or agreement of an examining, licensing or certifying organization.
IMR does not solicit or authorize participants to breach examination confidentiality obligations.
IMR-created questions, mock examinations, examination scenarios and other preparatory materials are educational resources and should not be understood as representing actual examination questions unless expressly stated otherwise.
16. EDUCATIONAL AND MEDICAL DISCLAIMER
IMR and the Course Materials are provided for educational and examination-preparation purposes only.
Course Materials are not intended to constitute individualized medical advice, clinical practice guidelines or a substitute for independent professional judgment.
Medicine evolves continuously. Clinical guidelines, recommendations, drug information, diagnostic criteria, examination requirements and standards of practice may change after Course Materials are prepared or presented.
Although IMR endeavours to provide accurate, relevant and current educational content, IMR does not warrant that every statement or Course Material is complete, error-free or current at all times.
Participants remain responsible for verifying information against appropriate current clinical resources, product information, guidelines and other authoritative sources before applying information to patient care.
17. NO GUARANTEE OF EXAMINATION PERFORMANCE
IMR is an examination-preparation and medical education program.
Registration for or participation in IMR does not guarantee:
- eligibility to sit an examination;
- examination performance;
- a passing examination result;
- certification;
- licensure; or
- professional or academic advancement.
Participant testimonials reflect the experiences and opinions of individual participants and do not constitute a representation or guarantee that another participant will achieve the same or similar results.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, IMR is independent of and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or acting on behalf of any examining, licensing or certifying organization.
18. ONLINE PLATFORM AND TECHNICAL AVAILABILITY
IMR uses internet-based and third-party technologies to deliver portions of the Course.
Participants are responsible for maintaining a compatible device, appropriate software where required and a sufficiently reliable internet connection.
IMR will make reasonable efforts to provide reliable access but does not guarantee that online services will be uninterrupted or error-free at all times.
Temporary interruptions may occur as a result of maintenance, upgrades, internet outages, hosting or third-party service disruptions, cybersecurity events or circumstances outside IMR’s reasonable control.
Where a significant technical interruption materially affects access to a substantial component of the Course, IMR will make reasonable efforts to restore access or provide a reasonable alternative.
Minor or temporary technical interruptions do not entitle a participant to a refund.
19. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
Certain aspects of IMR may be provided through third-party platforms or service providers, including services used for video delivery, eBooks, DRM, quizzes, payment processing, email communications or other Course functions.
Use of a third-party platform may also be subject to that provider’s applicable terms and privacy practices.
IMR is not responsible for circumstances outside its reasonable control arising from the independent operation of third-party services, but will make reasonable efforts to assist participants where a third-party service materially affects access to an IMR service for which the participant has paid.
20. PRIVACY
IMR may collect, use and disclose personal information reasonably necessary to:
- process registrations and payments;
- administer participant accounts;
- provide access to the Course and Course Materials;
- deliver printed Course Manuals;
- communicate with participants;
- provide technical support;
- protect Course Materials and investigate suspected account misuse;
- administer refunds and registration changes; and
- operate and improve the Course.
Where technical protection or account-security systems collect information such as device information, account activity or IP-address information, that information will be used only for legitimate operational, security, access-management and related purposes and handled in accordance with applicable privacy law.
Personal information may be processed by service providers acting on behalf of IMR where reasonably necessary to provide the Course.
Nothing in these Terms authorizes IMR to collect, use or disclose personal information contrary to applicable privacy law.
21. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, IMR and its organizers, faculty, speakers, contractors and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising from participation in the Course or use of Course Materials.
Without limiting the foregoing, IMR is not responsible for examination results, professional decisions, clinical decisions or patient-care outcomes resulting from reliance on Course Materials.
Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, IMR’s liability will be limited only to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies a right, remedy, guarantee or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified.
22. EVENTS OUTSIDE IMR’S REASONABLE CONTROL
IMR will not be responsible for delay or failure to perform an obligation where the delay or failure results from circumstances outside its reasonable control, including natural disasters, severe weather, widespread telecommunications or internet failures, government action, labour disruption, public-health emergencies, significant cybersecurity incidents or failure of essential third-party infrastructure.
Where such circumstances materially affect delivery of the Course, IMR will make reasonable efforts to provide an alternative means of delivery, reschedule the affected component or otherwise provide an appropriate remedy having regard to the circumstances.
23. COMMUNICATIONS
Participants are responsible for providing an accurate email address and maintaining access to the email account used for registration.
Important information concerning the Course, online access, schedule changes, Course Materials and registration may be sent electronically to the email address associated with the participant’s registration.
Participants should contact IMR if they believe they are not receiving necessary Course communications.
24. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms and the participant’s registration with IMR are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Nothing in these Terms limits any rights a participant may have under applicable consumer-protection or other legislation that cannot lawfully be waived.
25. SEVERABILITY
If any provision of these Terms is determined to be invalid, illegal or unenforceable, that provision will be interpreted or limited to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue in effect to the extent permitted by law.
26. NO WAIVER
A failure or delay by IMR in enforcing a provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that provision or of IMR’s right to enforce it in the future.
27. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
The Terms applicable to a participant’s registration are the Terms in effect when the participant registers, subject to changes required by law or reasonable administrative or technical changes that do not materially reduce the participant’s purchased Course benefits.
If IMR makes a material change affecting an existing participant’s purchased access or contractual rights, IMR will provide reasonable notice where required or appropriate.
28. ENTIRE AGREEMENT
These Terms, together with the registration package description applicable to the participant’s purchase, IMR’s applicable refund policy and any other terms expressly incorporated by reference at the time of registration, constitute the agreement between the participant and IMR concerning the participant’s registration and use of Course Materials.
If there is a material inconsistency between these Terms and the specific description of a registration package at the time of purchase, the specific package description will govern with respect to the Course components and access periods expressly included in that package.

By completing registration for Internal Medicine Review 2027, I acknowledge that I have read and agree to the Internal Medicine Review 2027 Terms & Agreement, including the cancellation and refund policy, access periods, personal-use restrictions and intellectual-property provisions described above.
